🔍 Every price checked against the vendor's own site — July 2026

Tradify alternatives for UK trades (2026) —
an honest list, including where we lose.

Tradify is a good, mature product at £34–£44 per user/month — for a team it may be exactly right (our full comparison). If you're a one-person band, per-user pricing and certificates gated to the £37 tier are usually why you're looking. Here are six alternatives, honestly — one of them is ours.

Written by the founder — a UK Gas Safe registered & NICEIC engineer. Every price is dated and sourced so you can check it yourself.

Full disclosure: Quick Lead is our product, and it's first on this list because this is our website — not a neutral directory. What we promise instead of neutrality: every fact below was checked against the vendor's own site in July 2026, the sources are linked under the table, and we tell you plainly when a rival is the better pick. Six Tradify alternatives, compared honestly

All prices ex-VAT as of July 2026, from each vendor's own pricing page. "Per user" means the price multiplies with every extra person.

1. Quick Lead

£5 / £10 / £15 a month — flat, not per user

Best for: the one-person band that wants digital certificates without per-user pricing.

Strengths: all 10 certificate types on the £10/month Pro plan — CP12 (with AI data-plate scan), EICR, EIC, Minor Works and more; an AI inbox that turns job and lead emails into draft job cards you confirm with one tap; quotes, invoices, Xero- and QuickBooks-format CSV export, AI-drafted payment chasers; works offline on your phone. 14-day free trial, no card, no contract.

Honest limitation: no card payments in-app yet, CSV export rather than live accounting sync, no team features, no oil certificates — and it’s the newest tool here, from a solo founder with a small user base. That’s the honest trade for the price.

2. Gas Engineer Software

from £18 per user/month (annual; £19 monthly) · Core £23 · Pro £30

Best for: gas and heating specialists who want deep gas-trade integrations.

Strengths: flue gas analyser Bluetooth import (Kane, TPI, Anton) straight into certificates; Crezco pay-online links at a flat £1 per invoice; automatic service reminders and invoice chasing; offline apps; 7,000+ businesses per its homepage.

Honest limitation: per-user pricing, and full Xero/QuickBooks/Sage sync needs the Pro plan at £30 per user/month.

3. Powered Now

£28 / £32 / £40 per user/month

Best for: small teams that want forms, certificates and MTD VAT submission in one tool.

Strengths: offline working; gas and electrical certificates (EIC, EICR, PAT); Making Tax Digital VAT submission and Xero integration on Professional and above; unlimited SMS on Professional and above; a strong Trustpilot presence.

Honest limitation: forms and certificates sit above the entry Business tier, and it’s per-user — a two-person firm pays £56–£80/month.

4. ServiceM8

free (30 jobs/mo) · then £25–£269/month by job volume, unlimited users

Best for: Apple-based businesses — and anyone who likes paying by jobs, not seats.

Strengths: genuinely free tier for a quiet solo operator; unlimited users on every plan; 250+ pre-made forms from the Growing tier; Xero, QuickBooks and MYOB.

Honest limitation: built iOS-first by its own admission — the Android app is a deliberately limited "Lite" version unsuitable for running the business. A busy sole trader also climbs the job-volume price ladder.

5. Workever

£29 (Base) / £39 (Ultimate) per user/month · 30-day trial

Best for: small firms that want straightforward job scheduling without the frills.

Strengths: clean job management with Xero, QuickBooks and Stripe; a generous 30-day trial.

Honest limitation: the form and certificate builder only comes with the £39 Ultimate tier — a sole trader who needs certs pays the top price for a multi-user product.

6. Commusoft

pricing on request (demo first) — built for 6+ staff

Best for: established firms with six or more people — it says so itself, plainly.

Strengths: per-appliance asset records with automatic gas-safety renewal reminders to landlords; deep Xero/QuickBooks integration; genuinely powerful once you’re big enough for it.

Honest limitation: not for sole traders — Commusoft targets businesses with 6+ staff and doesn’t publish prices. If that’s you today, it isn’t on your shortlist; if you grow into it, it’s a serious option.

Pick by your situation, not by feature lists

One-person band on a budget who needs certificates → Quick Lead (£10 flat, all 10 types).

Gas specialist who wants analyser readings in the cert → Gas Engineer Software.

Team of four or more → Tradify or Commusoft — genuinely. Per-user pricing earns its keep once there's a team to manage.

Apple-only business, low job volume → ServiceM8 (free tier, unlimited users).

Forms + MTD VAT submission in one tool → Powered Now (Professional tier and up).

Fair questions about this list

We make Quick Lead, so read it with that in mind — this is our site, not a neutral directory. What we promise instead of neutrality: every price and feature claim was checked against the vendor's own website in July 2026, the sources are linked under the table, and we say plainly when a rival is the better pick — including several scenarios above where the honest answer is not Quick Lead. Spot an error? Email [email protected] and we'll correct it.
Because it's the tool this page assumes you're comparing against. Tradify is a good, mature product at £34–£44 per user/month (as of July 2026), with certificates from its £37 Pro plan — for teams it can be exactly right. We've written a full side-by-side: see Quick Lead vs Tradify.
Of the tools here (as of July 2026): Quick Lead includes all 10 certificate types on its £10/month flat Pro plan. Gas Engineer Software includes certificates from £18 per user/month. Powered Now gates forms and certificates above its £28 entry tier. Workever's form builder sits on its £39 Ultimate tier. So for a sole trader the cheapest certificates-included route on this list is Quick Lead Pro at £10 flat — that's our product, and the numbers are dated and sourced so you can check them.
Quick Lead, Gas Engineer Software and Powered Now all state offline working on their own sites (as of July 2026). Tradify's own Help Centre says both its web console and mobile app need a live internet connection. If you spend your days in cellars, plant rooms and new-builds with no signal, put offline near the top of your list.
Honestly: probably not Quick Lead — it has no team scheduling, timesheets or multi-user roles on purpose. For teams, Tradify and Commusoft (built for 6+ staff) are the strong picks, and ServiceM8's job-based pricing includes unlimited users if your business runs on Apple devices. Quick Lead is built for the one-person band.
Every price and feature claim was checked against the vendor's own website (pricing and feature pages) in July 2026 — sources are linked under the comparison table. Prices change and menus move; if anything here is out of date, email [email protected] and we'll fix it.

The cheapest way to decide: run it on real jobs
